Tanfield Lumber & Veneer (TLV) is an agricultural products company whose core business is log processing. Our current operations include buying and selling logs; processing logs for sale, shipping, and export; and processing and selling log by-products (such as premium bark mulch). Dealing mainly in hardwood logs, TLV moves vast quantities of hard maple, red oak, white oak, walnut, ash, and cherry. TLV also sells unground bark in wholesale quantities, as well as supplying premium bark mulch to both landscapers and homeowners.

TLV has been providing agricultural products to the world since 1869, when it was founded by Richard Tanfield, the great grandfather of current owner Richard Tanfield III and great-great grandfather of current CEO/COO Rick Tanfield IV. Over the last 151 years, TLV has run the gamut of modern forestry - from logging and buying timber to running sawmills and producing world-renowned cherry veneer. While our function in the industry has changed with the times, our commitment to excellence remains as steadfast as it always has.

Since 2014, TLV has been in a strategic partnership with Baillie Lumber, one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters. TLV processes Baillie's logs for export in much of eastern Pennsylvania and beyond, providing services such as sorting, preserving, tagging, documenting, debarking, and loading. TLV processes over x million board feet of logs annually.
